Why the Steelers didn't make the playoffs

The Steelers had a rough year. They finished 8 and 8; a huge part was Ben Roethlisberger was out most of the season.  The second string quarterback broke his ribs, the third string had to come in; he has been in the N.F.L. for over a decade. Charlie Batch was probably the main reason the Steelers did not make the playoffs.

The Best Steeler ever

The best steeler ever was a defnsive tackle he was drafted in 1969 a first round draft pick out of North Texas State.  He won N.F.L. defensive player of the year twice.  He was the leader of the Steel Curtain, he won defensive rookie of the year.  This player is Joe Greene.

Rod Woodson

Rod Woodson is probably the best Steeler cornerback ever.  He started his career in 1987 as a first round draft pick out of Purdue.  Not only was he a cornerback but he recieved kickoffs.  In 1989, he was the N.F.L. kickoff return leader.  He was a triple threat in the open field.  He had an amazing career with the Steelers.

2 Steeler Running Backs

Rashard Mendenhall was a first round draft pick out of Illinois.  His first seson in the N.F.L. he only had 58 yards in 09 and 10.   Mendenhall had over a thousand yards, he has a bright future.  Jermone Bettis is called the bus for a reason, every time he ran he would flaten people like a bus.  Jermon Bettis is one of the best hitting running backs ever.  And that is why the Steeler fans loved him.  Both backs are good but they have different ways of running the Steeler ball.

Terry Bradshaws Career

Hero of some of the biggest game in Steelers history, Bradshaw led the team to an unprecedented four Super Bowl titles in a six-year period.  He won more than two-thirds of his starts with Pittsburgh, where he is eteemed for his brilliant 14-year career.  Bradshaw was the best Steelers Quarterback ever.

Bens Camp

Last summer my dad and I went to a Ben Roethlisberger camp.  There were at least 500 kids there.  Ben Roethlisberger threw a pass to every kid there.  The camp was two days.  Every day there was a camper of the day.  Coach Tomlinn was there, he gave me a high five.  It was a great experience I loved it.

Hines Ward

My faverett thing about Hines is he's a big encouragement to the Steelers.  After every game win or lose he always had a huge smile on his face.I think getting rid of Hines was a mistake, I think he's still got a lot of talent in him.  He also uses that talent on Dancing with the Stars.  Hines Ward was a great player but a even better encouragement.

Troy Polamalu

Troy hase had an amazing carear whith the Steelers but it's been a tuff year. Troy hase been out half the seson. He hase been in the N.F.L ten years he's getting old.  He can't make the tackles he used to make and he can't run as fast as he used to.  Although I still believe in him.  Lets just hope he can come back next year to save the Steelers as he has done in the past.

Steelers deffense

The Steelers have one of the best deffense in the N.F.L.whith nasty players like James Harreson Lamar Woodly. The Steelers have won deffensive player of the year 7 times Joe Greene won it in 1972 and 74 Mel Blout in 75 Jack Lambert in 76 Rod Woodson in 93 James Harreson in 08 Troy Polamalu in 2010.

Steelers Offense

The steelers have a good offense but it differs.Whith players like Ben Roethlisberger,Mike Wallace,Antonio Brown,Rashard Mendenhall and Heath Miller which other payers do they have on offense.I think Hines Ward was a huge part in the steelers offense.Hines Ward has the steelers record for most receving yards. The steelers have had a ruff year but they have a strong offensive line and a strong back field.I think in 2013 seson they will have a good year.
